As it happens quite a lot.
Firstly I’ll start with the most important thing, my granddad. As I mentioned in a previous post Cyril’s not been very well, I won’t go into too much detail as it’s not my place to. For a while I thought he was going to be in there forever and my heart broke for him. But thankfully things are on the up and he’ll be able to leave hospital soon!
Another big change recently is my new job! For those of you who don’t know, I’ve worked in health care for 2 years with mental health and my specialism was adults with autism. I loved my job, but felt it was time for a change and a move! I’m now working in complex care which is a totally different challenge, but so interesting. Obviously I can’t say too much about my job due to client confidentiality, but I’m really enjoying it.
This next one isn’t really recent but I’ve bought myself a new car. I passed my test late February and bought my car around May time. I wasn’t actually going to buy myself car, but since having it life and work is so much easier. It also means I’m challenging myself a lot more. As silly as it sounds I used to try and avoid a lot of things with driving, like long distances, city centre driving, parking (I fully admit I’m pants at parking!) But having my own car means I can do things in my own time, and push myself a bit more.
Another big change, I’ve just moved to Leeds! I’m renting in a house share ten minutes outside the centre and it’s amazing! I must admit I was fairly nervous about moving in with new people but we’ve all kind of just clicked and it’s like a little family. I’ve wanted to move to Leeds for ages and this house came along at the same time as my job so I thought I’d just go for it and it’s turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made this year. Also Leeds is far more interesting then Doncaster so I’m excited for all the blogging opportunities
So that’s everything that’s new with me. Now life is getting back on track after a hectic few weeks and settling down and I’m in a good place. I hope you guys are all well and thanks for sticking with the blog while I’ve been absent!
