The Works Book Haul

Anybody who knows me know’s I’m mad about books, and one of my favourite shops in the world is The Works. So many books at such good prices! Poor Dan is subjected to being dragged round there quite a lot. I went a bit mad in there over the past few weeks and bought quite a few new books. These are all non fiction for a change. I’m not a vegetarian at all, but I do really enjoy vegetarian meals, and this has some yummy looking meals in here. I’ll be trying a few out and reviewing them on here.

I took Psychology when I was doing my A-Levels (many many years ago) and I really enjoyed it. I think if I’d have gotten on better with my teacher I would have carried on with it but being 17, I made a silly choice and dropped it after the first year. One of my new year resolutions this year was to learn something new and this is it. I find psychology and people so interesting and I’m thinking of possibly training in it. Watch this space!

I really enjoy crafting, and I thought for £1 this was a bargain! I’ll probably use a lot of the lovely vintage images in this.

I’ve loved crystals ever since I can remember, and find the meanings and “powers” behind them fascinating. I’ve built up a little collection of crystals through the years and I bought this so I could see what they all are and what they all mean. If any of you have any experience with anything like this please comment and let me know!

A lady at work was telling me all about tarot cards and how she believed in what they do and I thought it sounded so interesting. I’m not sure if I’m a believer, but I’d like to learn more about it and learn to read them.

When I picked up this book it instantly reminded me of my best friend Becca who loves little projects like this. I have lots of fabric scraps so I thought I’d have a go at some of these really cute projects. I’ll be posting them on here when I’m done so keep an eye out.

One for you beauty addicts. I’ve only had a brief flick through this book, but theres lots of lovely tips and even recipes for your own beauty products, I’ll be trying some of these out and posting them on here. I might even do a series on it if you guys would like.

So thats my book worm haul! Do any of you guys have any of these? Let me know in the comments. Have a lovely week!
